I just got two phone calls from this number, one after the other. I put them in voicemail as I was on the phone and it came in on caller ID. I have a friend with a Vegas phone number and the area code is 702 out there but I tend to agree with the payphone idea. No messages left and when I called the number back it was disconnected.

*MODIFIED* After listening to the voicemail, I realized that it wasn't a single beep, but 4 beeps. This may be a computer or fax machine calling me. Either way, it's annoying.

I answered the phone with "hello" and person calling did not respond. I said "hello" again, still no response. Caller did not disconnect, so I hung up the phone. What is this? I am on the Do Not Call registry.
